1. If you had to write a book about your career journey so far, what would the title be?
“From Biology🧑🔬 to AI 🤖”.
2. Tell us about your career in a few words.
I completed a bachelor’s degree in Biology and then a master’s in Bioinformatics, where I had my first experience with artificial intelligence (AI). During my master’s degree, I decided to pursue a career related to data science and AI. So, after my master’s thesis, a job offer from an AI startup popped up on my LinkedIn, and I tried my luck. And so, my story with Visor.ai began. Since then, I have learned and grown so much, both as an employee and as a person.
3. What’s your most significant career achievement?
I would say taking on the Senior AI Engineer and People Leader role at Visor.ai. It has been an amazing experience working here, and it’s fulfilling to see my hard work recognized and to have the respect of my colleagues.
4. In your opinion, what will be the biggest challenge for you in your current role as a Senior AI Engineer and People Leader role at Visor.ai?
Currently, with the LLM (Large Language Models) revolution, the number of novel models, methodologies, and solutions has increased not only in quantity but also in complexity. Therefore, the main challenges are to keep up with the new trends but also to innovate new solutions in order to stay at the forefront of this revolution. Even though it can be challenging to organize the time between investigating, innovating, and maintaining our solutions, the results are very rewarding at the end of the day.
5. What would the day-to-day life of the Visor.ai AI team look like if it were a Movie, and why?
I would say Lord of the Rings. I love this literary universe because it’s full of adventure, teamwork, friendship, and wizardry🧙(AI). We always begin the day with several main quests to improve or create features in our products. Nonetheless, we always find time to seek more knowledge about the magic realm of AI, which often leads to new and amazing adventures. Everyone in the AI Team, just like the fellowship, has their strengths and weaknesses, so we learn a lot from each other during these adventures. At the end of the day, the AI team grows stronger and more knowledgeable.
